I have 2 eyelets at the bottom of my house in the corners that I drill or chop holes and ice the rope in. If it isn't cold enough drill through and tie the rope to a stick and push it down across the bottom of the hole.

I use hemp rope for the enviroments sake. The hous will always be there when you arrive. Cut rope above the ice to remove.

I have some seat belt material that I use for making handles for lifting my house, door pulls etc.... They are very tough.

I'm going to attach some to my house and use the ice screws from my Eskimo hub house to screw my house down.

Take the slush from augered holes or make some slush with your auger.

I have used cardboard. It doesnt hold up that well ,it gats wet and falls apart. I dont like as it freezes down to easy and your left with a mess. I have seen a few guy make skirts around the bottom of their shacks with canvas also.
