Deer Cams

Recommended Posts

Looking to buy my kids some deer Cams for Xmas. (which of I course I 'll be able to use) I had one this year till the grandson dropped this summer and it never worked right after that.

Any recomendations on what I should buy? Something that's reasonable & good. How about that Walmart unit?

thanks Dabber

Im just gunna say a few things. I have never delt with any of the spendy one $300+ but for what your probably using them for ( a basic picture) anything around $100 will work well some even less. Also if you buy a $100 one you will save some dough allowing you to buy another cam which is way more important IMO. I like stealth cam just cuz i have had good luck with them. Since they have came out the prices of them has dropped a lot i would go with a infered one. I have no experince with the walmart one you referd to, but there must be some reveiws about it somewhere.

If you look around the hunting subforum on here and do a search around here you will find out theres many threads about this.

I guess honestly, I have a cuddeback and I have two of the Primos 46 that I bought at Walmart this fall when they had them for $100. If you are going to angle them down a trail or use them on a mineral lick, I think the Primos is definitely worth it as I bought two of them for less than I paid for the Cuddy. Pics are as good of quality and as stated, you can get more for the same $$$.

We bought 2 wildgame innovations 6mp micro red cameras. Have had them out since rifle season started and no problems even in the really cold days we had. Takes great pictures and video and battery life is good. Bought them for about 80$ each but you can get the 4 or 2 mp models for less. Here is a link to a post with some of the pictures we got this year. so you can judge quality for your self. http://www.hotspotoutdoors.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2719599#Post2719599
