favorite bluegill jigs...........

what does everyone like to use for jigs on picky gills and what color & size does well for u?

I love me a Gill Pill. I don't have a favorite size or color. I let the fish tell me what size and color.

I'm going to give them something new to look at this year...maybe now I can catch a few. (Bluegill drive me nuts).

Lindy came out with an entire line of panfish jigs, one that comes pre-packed with plastics and the micro sized the infamous Slick Jig for pannies.

I'm digging the new Lindy Toad and the new Micro Slick Jig coming in at 1/16 oz. Figure the little Slick Jig may give them something they have never seen before.

Shrimpo glow in the dark with pink grub, on larger gills I use the old bronze pined Swedish pimple in the smallest size, sounds funny but has always done me well

I'll be trying out some midge flies this year. I know lakes here are full of them and I've tied more flies than I know what to do with, so I figure I might as well give it a shot.

My favorite is still the ratso and the rat finkee. I'm trying out some Skandia tungstens as well.

Red Marmooska. Its nice having small jigs that don't take forever to sink to the strike zone.

Many different ones but one that has worked well for me is the JB Lures Ju-Ju. Smaller size and I do the color the fish seem to want. The blue has been good for me.

i only have one season behind me, but the lindy genz worm was the best produce for me last year.

My ultimate pan fish / Perch lure is a combination of two lures. I take a Rattln’ Lindy Flyer, remove the treble hook, add about a 2” piece of mono and tie a Rat Finkee(#10 or #12) on the bottom of that. The flash and rattle of the spoon draws them in from a distance, the Rat finkee is just too delicious looking for them to pass up.
