FISHINGURU
You mean, "Adrian, your going to sit out because we just gave you a monster contract and your still not healed from your last injury". "We are not going to the post season so no need to risk you aggravating that same injury or getting a new injury".ALL players want to play even when injured, I wonder if anyone told him if he plays when he's hurt he could get hurt even more? If not he should be able to sue like the concussion guys.
zepman
Joe Mauer won't play with a hang-nail....a runny nose....or even if he's having a bad hair day.Sorry, a little off topic.
james_walleye
I wonder what kind of inventives he had to shoot for that were in reach in these last 2 games.....
Antero
If he was healthy and he and the doctors said he was I feel the team was morally obligated to play him. Same with teams who have locked up their playoff positions. Teams like the Packers should play their starters, if healthy at least as much as in some preseason games. The fans have paid dearly to see the stars and the TV networks have paid for and advertised them.
LMITOUT
"Adrian, we suck so you are going to sit out, ok?" hahaha. And look where that got you.Let's stop the fraudulent act here. If they would have played a halfway competent team and lost, everyone would be DROOLING over the possibility of snatching Luck in the draft even more than they were after Indy lost this week. Don't kid yourself, that would without a doubt be the mindset for the last game of the season of every so-called Vikings fan. Instead, they failed to lose and now we're putting on an act that trying to close out the season with a couple of absolutely meaningless wins was the "right thing to do". Good grief. Now you have a team heading into the draft with a RB that may not even play next year and still no answer at QB because they over drafted for Ponder in this draft which has put them into a box. That game on Saturday was a complete disaster up and down the line. soldoncass
I agree...A disaster that Ghomes shot helmit first into THE PREMERE rb's knee. My wife said she saw one of the defenders twist Peterson's ankle after he was on the ground.....another disaster. Lb Fletcher headhunting Ponder , while he was almost on the ground, and fully controlled by the sacker.(there better be a FINE on that play)DISASTER. Another disaster was Gerhart not scoring on his 67 yard run.....better get him in better shape....he was running out of gas.
soldoncass
Frasier said they would put Caleb King on the 53 man roster, so they must have a little confidence with him actually making something of himself. That is encouraging to me. Booker has barely made any appearances lately, so that doesn't bode well for him. I think Richardson will be a good back, but we don't need another one, Peterson will be back strong. OL is most dire need I think.
james_walleye
FAIL. Completely delusional to think coaches and players trying to complete a resume on the season are going to lay down for a better draft pick. A lot of good that does them when they might not be employed by the vikings next year. I can buy fans wanting losses for better picks. I know that's happening and I'm not denying I'm one of them. But players? Lol.....not a chance. If that had any merit this would all be a moot point because the colts wouldn't have posted 2 wins in a row. james_walleye
What good does laying down do for any of them???? So the vikings have more reason to cut them? So the other 31 teams have even less reason to pick them up in the offseason? A lot of good having the first pick in next years draft does for the guy who gets cut and is still waiting for a call for emplyment at the beginning of next regular season. Dude you are so far in left field on this one. Most of the time when your posting I might not like what you say, but at least it has merit. This though, I find it hard to believe you can actually believe what you write.
LMITOUT
Listen, I said from the get go this was on the head's of the coaching staff. What I'm talking about has nothing to do with players laying down, although players have said weeks ago that it was already happening, so you can take your "player pride" card and rip it right in half because we all know how much merit that actually has with these overpaid divas. james_walleye
Yeah, I mean it makes total sense that Joe Webb should lay down. I mean, his second chance of the whole season to prove he can play qb. Wow, ya that's mindboggling that he didn't lay down so the vikings could possibly bring in Luck lol. Or Toby Gerhart, he should have latest down on one of few infrequent chances to show he should see more workload.Mistrel Raymond should have dropped that int. Forget that he's got 2 or 3 games to prove he can play in the NFL. And frazier should have taken the chance that even at 2-14 and worst record in the history of the vikings that he would be around next year to coach Luck. Nevermind that if he is fired that he may never get a head coaching job ever again. I mean for stupid....LOL.
james_walleye
.....hey everybody, rumor has it the vikings are going to cut Kyle Rudolph for catching that TD pass in an effort to get more playing time because it helped ruin the vikings shot at Luck..... LMITOUT
Knot headed sofa quarterback?Really?Should we go back and retell how many times I've been right about this team just this year alone when the rest of the kool-aid drunk rubes just kept lapping it up like a freshman at a college house party?Really?I guess if you want to settle for another fiddy years of mediocrity then keep drinking it up and believing what they feed you.
