Making Ice!!!!

Recommended Posts

on the way back from pheasant hunting from S. Dakota my brother noticed lots of lakes with skim ice through southern minnesota. i have a friend who owns 300 acres about 40 miles north of Duluth of county 4. on his property he has a lake around 60 acres. it is a shallow lake. today he threw a rock the size of a softball as far as he could and the rock did not break through the ice but slid aways. things are looking up. good luck.

There was ice on the Miss above the Sartell dam this morning, and there's a good bunch forming tonight. That being said, with the snow coming, I wouldn't mind it if the ice went away until we got some. And THAT being sid, it's a weather forecast, so it's probably wrong. smile
