Pigs eye was frozen over this morning. Battle Creek had ice 20 yards out from shore!

All the small ponds even creeks were iced over this morning on my way to work. Its comin............!

Everything iced over in Northern Iowa also even the river. No current to speak of. Was 12 when I woke up.....Bring the ice!

Everything I saw around brookings is froze over including one good size lake.

on the way back from pheasant hunting from S. Dakota my brother noticed lots of lakes with skim ice through southern minnesota. i have a friend who owns 300 acres about 40 miles north of Duluth of county 4. on his property he has a lake around 60 acres. it is a shallow lake. today he threw a rock the size of a softball as far as he could and the rock did not break through the ice but slid aways. things are looking up. good luck.

The sad part of it is several inches of snow on top of thin ice Saturday will not be good. Best thing that could happen is the ice all melts tomorrow.

Radio said 47 tomorrow in cities, so I'd assume that skim would be gone before the wet snow, if it even is snow.

not sure bout the snow coming it says light accumaltions so maybe the wind will just blow it of

i'm always leary of early ice. so far though it's going good up north, but that snow is always a factor and is something we cant control. good luck.

Rush lake by St.Cloud was totally frozen over today. Lake Julia had about 10 yards of ice around the entire lake. Was a refreshing site to see!

There was ice on the Miss above the Sartell dam this morning, and there's a good bunch forming tonight. That being said, with the snow coming, I wouldn't mind it if the ice went away until we got some. And THAT being sid, it's a weather forecast, so it's probably wrong.

I had to break up some ice but got it pulled yesterday. Was NOT fun. Not a good time to remember that I had a hole in my waders.

yesterday Crooked lake here in Andover [Anoka County} was open for the most part. however today as i looked from the boat landing it was froze over. good luck.
