Its not a fossil. You can see some banding in the sample... like toughguy said... try sticking a magnet to it..

PS: if its a meteorite... that thing is worth a small fortune

edit: Its NOT a meteorite as meteorites will not have layering or banding

You have two rocks in one in that specimen. It was formed when molten magma pushed up through the soft matrix bedrock, cracked it, squeezed into the cracks and solidified. It’s called an “Intrusion”. You can see this process quite often in granite around this area. The piece is nicely weathered and is pretty cool to look at.
