Where to put bow hanger

I just got a realtree bow hanger and was wondering where most people position the thing in their tree. I sit and stand in the stand and dont want it in my way when a deer comes in.

Not sure what you have but I put mine(its 3 sections that fold) right at shoulder level on my holding bow hand side. Easy grab from sitting and swings away for the shot. If im standing im usually holding it.

Normally have it hanging on my left where the handle is at chest height while standing.

Sometimes if the set is more of a shooting while sitting set then of course the height is lower.

I screw mine in on the left (right handed). I would say it is about eye/shoulder level when I'm standing.

You want to have it somewhat high so it won't interfere with a shot.

The longer your bow is the higher you'll want it.

I put mine up as high as I can get it while standing. This way I don't have to worry about hitting it when drawing back or shooting. Even with it up that high I can still easily grab my bow by the handle while sitting down.

3 section holder and I slam it in about 6 inches above my head. Bow hangs right in front of me with the grip right there where I need it.

yup mine is up over my left shoulder so the bow grip is ready for my left hand (right handed shooter). I sit and shoot 99% of the time unless in my climber.

I usually just use the little hooks that are close to the tree, for those it seems to work better to have it over my right shoulder so I can reach across my body with the left to grab it. I had an extended bow hanger at one time which I believe I then did put over my left shoulder. I must not have zipped the backpack all the way some time & it fell out, because I don't have it any more. I hunt so many stands it was kind of a hassle putting it in & taking it out all the time. Often I'll just trim a branch off that's at about the right height & hang it over that. Main thing is a guy has to train himself to reach for that bow at the first strong indication of a deer coming.

Doesnt matter where you put it as long as it's easy to grab for you and not in the way (IN ANY WAY) of you drawing, aiming and releasing.
