Climbing Stand help

CO1978

Recommended Posts

I am looking to buy a climber and want some input. I have found it is very important to feel comfortable and safe in a stand. I like a decent sized platform and bar/rest in front of me. I have never used a climber before so any input would be helpful. As far as budget....I don't really care. I am willing to pay for a stand that I am comfortable in rather than save a few bucks and not use it. Thanks!

I just bought a realtree summit viper and this is my first climber. I have brought it out a few times to test it and absolutely love it. It is very comfortable and has everything u are looking for. It has a nice sized platform and depending on how high you have the upper, you have a nice padded shooting rest. I have not had it slip on me once yet and I tried to get it to just see. Make sure you tie the two levels together when climbing, otherwise that could get hairy. I do not like the zip strips they provided to attach the pads, but just bought some camo tape and taped them on. The stand is light enough that I could carry it for quite a while before I could feel it. I am a big boy and this thing was comfortable and I felt safe.

Happy hunting

I've owned my viper for about five years. Great stand for comfort, size of platform, ease of use, and weight. Of everything I own it has increased my success substantially. Endless places to hunt, as your first time in a spot is usually your best time.
