Crow hunting and the aftermath?

I want to get into crow hunting, but I have one nagging question.

What do I do if I shoot a mess of crows, I know you can eat them but for some reason that does not seem like a great idea. I was raised in a you kill you eat it hunting family so using crows for target practice and dumping them someplace seems a bit wrong to me.

so I guess the question is, is it wrong to kill a bunch of crows and leave them out for the other critters to munch on?

Nothing eats crows, they are a varmint, like a gopher. Don't feel bad about leaving them. We shot a dozen of them one week, went out the following week, not even the coyotes touched them. I don't feel bad about trapping gophers or mice in the house, I think of it the same way when shooting crows, only its a lot more fun.

I know how you feel. I have been invited quite a few times for praire dog hunting. I also believe eat what you kill, and I am not going to eat praire dogs so I dont go. I have no disrespect for any one that does,I just dont want to partake in it. you dont need us to give you the go ahead, just do what you feel in heart you want to do.

good luck

There isn't much you can do with them but leaving them laying about probably isn't the best solution. Bad PR and the landowner may not be happy with it either. My advice would be to clean them up and either dump them in the trash or someplace out of the way where they are not likely going to be a problem.
