I think you should be getting it this week or early next. It's not really a packet. I think there is the results letter, vehicle registration sheet and one info sheet. Good Luck all!

BRULED- I don't think I've ever talked to anyone who hasn't got drawn 2 yrs in a row, so you should be good to go for next year!

I've applied twice, this year for the first hunt & 3-4 years ago for the second hunt. I was drawn both times, so I would say you'll get drawn. I've talked to people that have been drawn a bunch of years in a row.

where can you pick up a ripley map ahead of time?

mrklean, the DNR has the info packet online. On the DNR HSOforum, in the deer section, there is a link for "Hunt Information" that leads to a pdf with the basic map and info that is mailed to you.

I always apply as a single and a couple friends and their dad and uncle apply as a party. They always seem to get in and I was always every other year. Well this year, I got drawn for the first hunt and they didn't. This will be my third or fourth time there. I always like hunting with a party just to be safer in the woods and to make sure everyone gets out and just having someone help drag a deer or whatever. If anyone else got in solo or wants to hunt in the same areas PM me or let me know.
