Im putting myself into that scenario, I'm sure those weddings will be beutiful an send my regards to the happy couples an tell everyone i said hi. JB has very good points. It really sounds like a gamble. Can ya do opener? then giver david! Its always worth a shot in Oct. Many factors come in to play, like mentioned. but the biggest one in your favor is your buffette with no waiting an all the naturals are gone an the big boys are looking for an all you can eat buffette. Cant shoot a bear form the couch man Giver david. its nice that your thinking of others, but ya only need one night to score. Some one else that might pick up the tag might only get a few weekends outa it too. boar

Jerkbait,

I was suggesting that maybe it would be better to let it go back into the pool for the second drawing. Right now I will not be able to hunt until late September and the two weekends in October. It would be hard to keep the bait going being out of town. If we did not have the new law, I would hunt for sure since I was awarded the tag and I would not want it wasted. Unless someone talks me out of it by Friday, there will be one more tag available for 51. Stinks, but it is what it is. Just have to chase Muskies and Grouse those three weekends. I can always live this bear season through all your postings.

That is a great point Boar. Thanks! The berries would be gone and might give me a slight advantage. Last year it just seemed like they quit coming around by late September. Hope all is going well with the Lymes treatments.

Wow thats crazy, camping out pays off. I just look at the dnr web site still says 83 in area 12 an all others are the same, just hasent been updated yet im sure. But a guy could look at it an say hay there alot of tags left ill pick it up later.Riiiiiight. Good deal Jay your in the saddle too, cool beans. Charlies got his, Who else??? Boar
