The Hindenburg or a look a like

Recommended Posts

Saw the famous air ship flying around the south metro area, so I drove up to flying cloud airport to get some pictures. Finally got to use my new camera and lens. I upgraded to the 7D and the 70-200II

Nice pix and I am much intrigued by the assemblage of engines at the tail. Will have to investigate-never seen anything like it. Looks like an engineering and maintenance nightmare!!

Very cool! I was hoping someone would post pics before it flies on to its next spot on its tour. The news said its an actual zeppelin, not a blimp, The difference being a zeppelin has a rigid frame and is not a giant balloon like a blimp. That allows the structural integrity to mount the engines on the side. One of only two flying in the world. I saw it buzzing around the other day, it's HUGE.

Nice to see quality pics of that thing, thanks!

I've seen it buzzing around here all weekend and pretty neat to see only 1 of the 2 that exist in the world today.

+ for 375 you can even get a ride. smile
