Apple wins law suit

Recommended Posts

Well of course the Android sold more in the last couple months. They releaased their new devises in the past couple months. Lets see what those numbers look like the next couple months after the iphone 5 is released. I would bet the farm iphone retakes the lead, by a large margin!

Apple has the best marketing out there, bar none. They have made new technology, and made everyone want it, and others have copied it, thats what the law suits are about. Apple's proprietorship I think holds them back some, but they are obviously doing well, by keeping everything in house. If the Mac would work with my work programs, I would spend a little extra to get one.

As for the iphone, I have several in the family, I have never had any issues with any of them. Battery life is many times better then any droid out there. My 5 yo iphones battery lasts twice as long as a buddies new Galaxy 3. I have really never had any software issues with it. It never locks up, I never need to restart it.

Another thing, I think the Galaxy 3 is way to big for a phone, maybe a toy like an ipad, but as a every day phone, it is just to akward. I hope the iphone 5 doesnt get to hung up in the bigger is better crowd. I have been holding off for a new phone for a while, waiting to see what Apple has to offer with the new iphone 5, because I personally wasnt a big fan of the iphone 4. We will see what I get this time around.

That has nothing to do with the Android OS gaining larger chunks of market share, as phone manufacturers, not Android, produce the phones and phones with Android are released all the time throughout the year.

Yes, there are dozens and dozens of phones running Android compared to Apple, but the bottom line is which OS people are choosing. Blackberry used to be the king of smartphones but they have fallen and fell hard in a short amount of time. The growth of Android users in the time they did is something that Apple could only wish for. Only time will tell if they can hold onto that share of the market or crash like BB.

If CrApple continues with their frivolous patents and subsequent lawsuits they might just end up shooting themselves in the foot.

Has breathing air been patented? Someone better check before Apple thinks they came up with that innovative idea too.

I like how you say "CRapple" yet Apple has very low problems with their products, and their customer service is top notch. They invent new technology almost every year, and others copy it. They are leaders in the market, yet because you dont like them, they are no good.

They may do some questionable things, but it is "their company" they can do them.

Give it time, the original Macs did well til the rest of the world moved on and they continued to only work with other Macs. Droid products are already making dramatic inroads in the smartphone world and taking a bigger slice all the time.

A lot of that three month growth is caused by iPhone sales falling off in anticipation of the next big thing from Apple. I don't think you can look at changes in share in small windows around Apple release dates. Around the Apple release dates you would need to compare year over year growth.

What technolgies have they created almost every year? Rounded corners? ..LOL.

Bottom line here is it's not what you sue over but where the suit is filed.

No other place in the world could this absurd frivolous lawsuit have Been won other than Apples back yard.

I dont intend to defend Apple, because other then the ipod, and the iphone, I have never owned any of their products. I am far from an Apple fanboy, but I am not a hater, and I do see them for what they are, a smart company. The ipod obviously took digital music into the next level. As for the iphone, it was by far the newest, best, most advanced phone released on to the market in 07. There wasnt a phone that was even close to it. Then in 09, every phone manufacturer had a phone almost identical to the iphone. Some you couldnt even tell, unless you looked at a logo, or you were a homer of either brand.

Apple was smart, they put a patent on lots of the designs, hardware and software. Others copied what they patent, therefore, they broke the law. End of story. Who cares if it is things such as rounded corners, if they patented it, and others copied it, they broke the law. Apple is fighting over many of the things that were copied, not just the stupid things you guys are pointing out.

But if you look (see picture I posted on 2nd page) they didn't invent much (if any) of the patents they have been suing over. Yes they found a way to put it all into one streamlined package that looks nifty. But their patents should be null and void since they were not the ones who invented it. Other parties invented it and placed it to market BEFORE Apple. This all comes down to the patent office not doing enough research before awarding a patent.

So you are using a joke email as a reference?

Do a little research, take a couple hours and read some of the court documents, read some of the patents that were broken, that havent been decided on yet. This thing has just started. More then likely all things will be settled in a settlement in the late future.

Even if your joke email reference, which was passed around emails months ago, were the only facts in the case, in doesnt matter. If Apple made the item, patented before anyone else did, they own the rights. If Bill Gates thinks Steve Jobs ripped off his ideas, I am sure that would have been brought into court, but it wasnt.

Should have known criticizing any MAC/Apple product would bring out the die hard Apple fans. The chart I threw was only 3 months because my previous statement was about recently. They have been losing market share for over a year. And if history repeats itself as it has with Apple products they will continue to lose market share.
