Custom License Decals... Any shop kind of local?

I'll soon be in need of license/numbering for the front of my new boat... I'd like to go "custom". By custom I mean the font/style as well as color scheme in the boat numbers that would "match" the decals that came on the hull from the factory. I remember getting some for my Lund, but that paperwork is long gone.

Any recommendations?

My last new boat, the dealer made them and put them on for no charge.

If your new boat is from a dealer, ask them what they can do for you. I made the deal before I purchased the boat.

Yep... Tried that already. I didn't much care for this guys work. Thus the reason I'm looking elsewhere.

You can get a sign maker to paint them on. Benjamin Sign Company behind Gander in Lakeville does a good job, they may even make vinyl ones also.

Lettertech also does them. They have about a million (not really) colors/styles to choose from.

It was Lettertech I was trying to remember! Ordered up my license numbers last night is VERY cool matching Alumacraft silver, black and slate.

Oh yeah... Didn't I tell you... I picked up my new boat yesterday.

This is a little off topic, but I'd thought I'd throw this in. In 2008 I bought a boat at Rapid Marine. About two weeks later I got a package in the mail containing great looking color matched boat registration numbers. I thought that was a great way for a dealership to say thank you.

Rapid Marine is where I will buy my next boat! I have been very happy in the talks I have had with them and their prices are as good as anyone else when comparing apples to apples.

Northlander...I bought my last boat from Rapid after being disappointed with our local Hwy 53 store time after time. Best boat buying experience, price and followup service I ever had. Last time I needed a tune up I dropped it off in the AM on my way to the cities for business meeting and picked it up on the way home. Try that with our local Hwy 53 dealer.
