Mille Lacs Guide

I'm heading up to Appledoorns on Mille Lacs next week Saturday-Tuesday. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for private guides for walleye fishing. I'll have 1-3 guys with me depending on who decides to go out fishing. Any help/ info would be greatful ie. going rates, what to look for, who to use etc. Monay would probably be the best day to fish for me and the guide due to the weekend pressure.

don't be surprised but most of the better mille lacs guides are getting 300 to 400 for a trip.

Guides to check with : Tony Roach, Chris Kudak, there are afew others but I can't remember them right now. check with the area resorts and they may be able to recommend someone.

Have you thought about just going out on a launch? I can recomend Terry's near Garrison.

the OP was asking about private guides not launches. as far as lauches go stay away from Terry's, he is the most unfriendly person on the lake and I am surprised he does get the business he does. see the other thread about looking for a lauch and read the comments there.

Tony Roach would be an excellent choice and Paul at Appledorn's could also get you lined up with a great person I am sure.

Ya if you can get Tony he would be great but if you cant call Paul W. at Appledorns and he will set you up with someone Im sure. Paul runs a Class A operation and does all he can to make sure your stay is a good one.

Good chance that he is already booked.. but got to at least try Tony Roach as other have said.. otherwise ask Paul at Appeldoorns.. he will point you in the right direction.
