The vinegar and water is good and safe. Also you can get a spray bottle of Nikon Lens cleaner at most sporting retail stores in the hunting dept...good stuff, and it is also very good for quality sunglass's and other optics like cameras.

Get a few micro fiber soft touch cloths so you do not scratch the face of the display.

Word of warning: Avoid getting any over-spray of any bug spray or insect repellent on the display screen. Some units bug spray is a kiss of death to them and it smears the display permanently or spots it permanently.
