YiGGiN4SLoBS
"]Th badgers looked decent, the gophs just played a typical lost lucia hockey game. The had really no game plan and no flow. Patterson was terrible which people are realyzing he just isn't that good. Agreed, Patterson was AWEFUL last night. That was the worst ive seen him play. Badgers only had like 18 shots the entire game. The only goal that wasnt patterson's fault was the slap shot from the point that bounced off some badgers guys elbow (typical sconny goal) and went in. The worst was the one where the guy shot it str8 into his chest and he had no clue where it was and just stood there with it between his legs for like 5 seconds before a badger stuffed it in... Hes gotta be alot better if the gophs have any chance of doing anything in the post season. The media talks him up but other then a handful of games this year i havent really been that impressed by him.
Bear55
Fricken gophers, just when they start getting your hopes up they lay a giant egg. Hopefully Patterson got that out of his system and is ready to rock for the playoffs.
solbes
What an opportunity wasted by the Dogs. We didn't play good either. I'm sure Stud had a good time watching us get whipped. I have to give Lee credit, he didn't give up many rebounds at all. For some reason we do NOT play well in Saint Cloud. It's a big ice sheet, but we play better at Mariucci, Kohl Center, and CC than we do at Cloud. I don't get it.Technically we could still Share the cup tonight with a Gophers loss & Dogs win. Gophers own the tie breaker, thus earning them a #1 seed in the tourney. It's not gonna happen though so I'm not going to spend much time thinking about it. Bryce
Just had to look it up after that terrible interferance penalty gives rodents pp opportunity to go ahead. Pretty surprised not to see Shepherd listed as an official. Sioux getting it done.
YiGGiN4SLoBS
Terrible interferance penalty? That was a blatant interferance penalty. Mike Eaves cried like a little school girl all night long and actually delayed the game for like 5 minutes after a clean Rau hit. U would have thought the badgers had home ice the way that series was refereed.Excuse me for a minute, I Have to watch the gophs skate around with the cup for while :~)! fishing tech
I didn't realize that Eaves was such a whiner. I guess maybe he is fighting for his job.
archerystud
The tie with the dogs was okay tonight. Wish the goal that was about .5 second late at the end of the second would have counted. Huskies now get to host in the first round.I do think this is going to be one of the best F5's. I don't see anyone in the WCHA standing out at this point. Probably why only 3 WCHA teams are going dancing right now with UND on the bubble.
cbrooks
I didn't realize that Eaves was such a whiner. I guess maybe he is fighting for his job. Wish I could have seen that game. Eaves is the biggest cry baby. You get the feeling he doesn't get along with lot of the other coaches in the league.
Scum Frog
Hey Byrce no comments from you bout next weekend series against Dunwoody? Must still be catching up on your beauty sleep? I know it's little early for a boat ride but, you could swing by on your way to the game this weekend and say hello?
Bear55
Well after 3 long years I have to say it was nice to win a little hardware. Not sure if this gopher team has what it takes to bring home a NC but it should be a fun final 5 and ncaa playoffs.

scsavre
The reffing was a joke against the gophs last night. Rau smashed labthe and they blow a whistle then have a meeting if there should be a penalty, take about a momentum killer. Eaves is always crying out there. The refs really coulda screwed that game up

solbes
Jutting is by far the biggest whiner out of the bunch. He will jaw the officials till no end every...single...game. Dogs laid an egg, but St Cloud was in their face the whole time. Have to give credit to the Huskies. That cup is pretty cool, looks like it'll be a long time until we see it in Duluth again. Congrats to the Gophs.
scsavre
I'm surprised jutting still has a job. When are they going to try to grow that team. Have they ever cracked top 5 in league..I tell ya, its nice having guentzel behind the bench, he gets so fired up, you know its contaegous. Even lucia has gotten excited by it a couple times. Now potulny on the other hand, I can't tell if he's a trainer or coach half the time.
PierBridge
Lucia should be coach of year again. Incredible the adjustments he makes particularly going into the 3rd in which the Gophers have to be far and away the best team in the country. Eaves hardly ever whine's but he sure had some beefs last night with 2 mythical calls that went against the Badgers. Not the Ramage penalty of course, I just think Eaves didn't have a good view and was frustrated by the early horrible calls. CHAMPIONS Once again! Special thanks to the Huskies of St Cloud for playing great and taking some of the pressure off of us!!!!!!
scsavre
Eaves doesn't usually whine, my gosh. Everyone knows he's always crying about something. You see it every game. I'm not sure what penalties were weak against the badgers. Honestly I woulda given them another one when their player shot the dropped glove at the puck carrier. I have no idea how bjug got 4 mins, when they originally never called the first 2 mins. It was laughable when hansen got 2 mins for getting crossed checked in the back. I just hope we have better reffing in the tourny. I wish we never had sheperd again. Wasn't he banned from gophs games 3 or 4 years ago. cbrooks
My picksPlayer of the year either Drew Shore or Jack Connelly. I'll go w/JCrookie of the year three guys come to mind here Klye Rau , Caleb Herbert, or Joey Leggia. Probably LeggiaGoalie PattersonDefensemen Schulz
solbes
tJCLaLeggiaPattersonSchultzLaLeggia leads rookies in points and he plays on the blue line. Rau would be the easy 2nd runner up though
fishing tech
Shooting the glove at the puck carrier should have been a penalty. Those refs were terrible. Alt has seamed to pick up his play the last couple of games. Sheppard's, my brother played hockey with Derek who is the same as the old man. So afraid of being called a homer that they screw the gophers atleast once every game. Brad seams to do alright. Then you have Marco Hunt. He si somewhere in between. Nice guy though.Does BSU have enough for UND? A hot goalie can steal a 3 game series.
YiGGiN4SLoBS
Does BSU have enough for UND? A hot goalie can steal a 3 game series. Sadly, i dont think so.... But it would really be fun poking fun at the sioux fans if they did lose to the beavers!
Bryce
Don't worry. We'll make sure and post photos of the team pulling into the big city in short busses and call it even if the upset happens.
