The 27th is me and my girlfriends anniversary, so my opener is postponed for the week after. Probaly tuesday. Usually happens every year Ill hit up Crystal, in Burnsville or Bush, in Bloomington.

I will probably be out on Marion on opener due to a tournament that week. This Year I hope to improve on finding good fish shallow I tend to be more of a deep water structure guy but need to be more versatile when the bite aint there.

I will be heading the 25 minutes east to the chisago lakes area for opener. My season resolution is to get better at pitching and flipping, and worm fishing. I bought two flipping sticks this off season. I may go out a few time with just those rods and some flipping tackle and force myself to get better at it.

I will be fishing a small lake in Cass county. I wouls really like to learn deep water techniques as well as use of swimbaits and cranks. Have fished shallow with plastics all a long and confident so have a hard time with change now.

I hate to say it, but I'm going to fish muskies more this year... I will also be throwing oversized baits for bass this year like the lunker punker and a few other real swimbaits, not just the little hollow belly style. I want to focus on big fish not so much numbers as I have in the past.
