Sink Disposer

Did a search and came up empty....

I'm replacing my kitchen sink disposer, looking at the InSinkErator Evolution Compact 3/4 HP. Any opinions or comments?

I went and got whatever Save Big Bucks had in 3/4hp. Installed easy and still working a year or two later Can't recall brand.

Insinkerators are a big seller and I have not had a problem with them yet. Just remember to knock the plug out before you hook them up.

was your disposal broken? I have helped a few neighbor out who bought new ones and they asked me to come help with the install. Upon surveying the old disposal I noticed the breaker had tripped one one. Reset the little red button and it worked fine! Other one had a GFI under the sink and that was tripped.

Yeah, it was leaking on the mid seam, an older Badger. Replaced it with the Evolution Compact. Spent a few more to make the Mrs happy and after being gone 4 days for the sturgeon trip.....well, lets just say you get what you pay for.

Installed fine, only problem is I hit the other sink drain J pipe so many times trying to fit underneath the cabinet that I broke loose the putty around the sink drain and it leaked, so I had to re-do that one.

I have a whole lotta respect for plumbers and what they do every day.

I know, most people wouldn't but this would probably be the one time someone would and then they'd get [PoorWordUsage] because you told them to knock out the plug.

Plumbing is tough stuff, the only good part is you get "immediate" feedback if you messed up. As in a drip, or worse.

Hats off to the guys that do it for a living. I'm surprised more retired Kentucky Derby jockeys aren't plumbers. How the heck is a normal sized guy expected to fit underneath and inside cabinetry?

Good news is my install is done and with dry paper towels laid down as validation.

Yep everyone forgets that one exept us. Another one people ask if you wash your hands alot at work and I say nope it all comes off on the bread at lunch
