Socom 4 - The New COD!!

Central Bassman

This game is the one of the main reasons I'd like to have a PS3.

Is that massive online shooter still going to be released? I heard it was going to be like 200 person rooms and stuff?

Yup Mag is out. I played the beta and wasn't impressed. Most things were cheesy but you have to sacrifice a little something something to have 256 players in one match.

From the PSN blog:

While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.

I was hoping to get online tonight but it's not looking good for the playstation network.

I bought Mortal Kombat instead of socom. When I played the beta it was the similar to other socom games. The experienced players with a clan totaly own and spawnkill.

It really is a pain in the rear. A buddy of mine bought the gun and Killzone 3, he returned the gun after a day. It is darn near impossible to move and aim effectively, I dont see how anyone could compete against another player using a controller. We died, a lot...

They just need to come out with a version of Big Buck Hunter and I would buy one!!! Not a good idea for a game you have to control movement and aim/shoot.

Not sure about Socom, kind of waiting for BF3.

They do have a hunting pack that includes the gun and I believe a safari style hunting game. Saw it at best buy yesterday!

The gun (sharpshooter) works great imo. It does take a while to get the hang of it. You have to recalibrate often at first. Also for anyone who thinks it's difficult to aim with any accuracy, I'd recommend turning the sensitivity down to 0. That will help a ton. Most take it out of the box and expect it to be good to go, not the case. Have some patience, Set sensitivity to 0 and you'll do fine. I do so well with it set at 0, feels like I'm using a cheat.

Socom 4 is far more engaging then COD blk ops imo. MAG (not beta version) is also a great game. Zipper makes great games, unlike treyarch. Just sayin'

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
