Navionics North for Android download issue

What device? How is it acting?

I've noticed my phone doesn't like some wifi connections and will continually connect to and drop it a minute later and do this until I disconnect from it. Might want to try a different wifi network first.

It shouldn't take long. ten minutes, 20 minutes at max.

Couple things I noticed when downloading.

My bank stopped my charges. When I would download it, it appeared as if I was actually downloading the application but after a little bit the download would stop.

Solution check your bank account. you should see a google charge for like a dollar, and a charge for 13.95 or 9.99 Euros. If you are not seeing these charges odds are your bank stopped them.

most people had the bank call them and verify the charges. In my case they didn't they just stopped them and never notified me. After I called and gave access to those charges I was able to download it.

Keep in mind if this is the senario it will say in the app market that you purchased the app even though technically you have not yet.

As suggested above I would also try another wifi connection. Stop at a coffee shop, they should have a good signal. A panera bread, work, ect?

You could try and download it on 3G that would take longer though. I set my phone to airplane mode (might be why i didnt get a call from wellsfargo) to ensure no phone calls or anything would interrupt the download.

let me know if that helps or you need further assistance. and if you do what phone are you using and what version of froyo?

My credit card company didn't stop the download but did call the next business days to confirm it wasn't fraudulent.

Definitely try another WiFi connection if at all possible, as PI suggested.

It took me about 7 or 8 minutes.

When connected to your Wi-Fi, you should be able to download just as fast as your computer. Either you have a very slow internet connection, or you were not connected to Wi-Fi correctly.

I believe within some of those files there are some type of identifiers, otherwise this would be a huge loop hole and this app would be out on the internet for free.

It could be cracked just like any other program. The only difference is, unlike other software, there's very little incentive to sit down and crack this extremely niche software.

What I meant to say is download the app to your phone which would cause you to have to pay for it. Than copy over the stock map files via SD card. It wouldn't be illegal in any way because you purchased the app, downloaded the app, just had failures downloading the stock map files.
