spearing lake

I have been spearing Forest Lake and seeing virtually NOTHING but MUSKY!! Does anyone have a nearby lake that has been productive for spearing northern? Thanks all!

Welcome This guy to the HSO family and the spearing forum.

Well there are alot of lakes that you could call nearby but I'm not sure which ones have been producing near Forest Lake but heres a couple tht I do well on Green,Blue,Sandy and Little Elk

I have seen fish every time I have been on Little Elk except for this morning and I was only out for a couple of hours.

There are alot of great guys on this site that should beable to point you to some good pike waters

one would think fish lake would have fish!! maybe that should be the spot for the 10th annual G-T-G, WITH THE 3RD RIVER BEING THE 9TH. just a thought.

Was out on Fish Lake by Harris last Saturday morning. All I saw through the spear hole were dogfish. Lake must be full of them. Not that its a bad thing!

The funny thing is that i'm out there all the time and I have never had one come through. I hear of alot of them being seen though.

They eat all the pike food! I had one in my hole when I first started spearing it tried to eat my decoy!!

Don't think so. The one listed is listed in Hennepin county. It's a small lake/bay that's part of Lake Minnetonka.

Isn't the other Forest Lake north of the cities in a different county?

I spear forest lake. Saw a lot of muskies early but have not seen one in over a month. I have seen pike nearly everytime out. Maybe try a new spot before completely giving up?

Now I have another spot to try!I have seen a lot of nice northern caught out of there.
