One Flasher 2 people

I'm trying to decide which flasher to buy and was wondering if any one is better for multiple users. For instance in a 2 man portable in +20' of water which unit is best suited to pick up 2-4 jigs and still be legible?

Really can't go wrong with either Vex, Marcum, Humminbird.

I only know marcum, so I'd say you'll definitely pick up your jigs. I can always pick up my Gill Pill up easily with the gain at only 1-2 (very low).

Most any of the new flashers will get the job done. Just use the wide beam for picking up numerous jigs if fishing shallow.

I used to use a Vexilar, and switched to the Bird 45 last year. I fish a clam 2000 and upon my trials over the past few years I have found the Bird was much easier to pick up multiple jigs in a smaller house. Yes the dual beam helps and also where you have it positioned depending on holes drilled per user. If 2 holes per fisher I use the inner hole closer to the person I am fishing with. Yet I can pick up on outer hole with larger jig...Either flasher will do you justice depending on how positioned...Trial and error....

Make sure you have a dual or triple Beam transducer. You are trying to pick up a larger area its all about the ducer 19* or 22* would be your best choice.

They all will pick up your jigs. There are times when I don't want to pick up my buddies jig. Things get too crowed when a school of crappies move in and I mistake his jig for a fish.

Switching to a small ducer angle helps. When that doesn't work or in your case you want to see both jigs, switch to Super Fine Line(LX5) as that helps give more definition with less overlap of lures and targets. Next trick zoom in your flasher in to the 10 window, that helps to spread the lures out too.

I had my FL-18 in my 2 man portable this weekend. 20+ FOW, had a blast using just one flasher with 2 guys. Worked well.

Any flasher with a wider beam ducer will do what you want. I have used my LX5 exactly like what you want your new unit to do, it worked great. You have to be in deeper water though, and it helps to drill a third hole in the middle and put the flasher in that, it'll eaqual out the cone angle for both anglers.

My vx1 by marcum will pick 3 jigs up if it's set right. I think my transducer is going bad so I have to turn the gain up more than last year. But if fishing two people in my clam guide I just drill and extra hole in between the holes were fishing from. So if I only drill three holes I do them in a line. If I drill 5. I drill it to look like the 5 on a dice. Usually I can get all the jigs then. You also don't have to worry about getting the transducer out of you hole when fighting a fish if you use a extra hole.
