Bow Storage

Recommended Posts

The best thing is to keep it out and handy so you can shoot indoor leagues and 3D shoots all winter. smile If you MUST put it away, the garage should not pose a problem.

Why not store it in a closet in your home. Put it in a hard case, and put it back in a corner of a closet. That way every 2-3 months or so you can take it out and look at it make sure it isn't developing any rust or any problems aren't developing on it. Plus, if you want to go shoot indoor it is right there ready for you to pick up.

Closet is a good idea, and is where I would put it if I HAD ANY ROOM. How come all the guys stuff gets squeezed out always, two yrs ago I bought a 10x10 shed for my sporting stuff. Well, its now full of bird stuff, yard stuff, xmas tree, wagons, shovels, coolers, lawn mowers, stuff now I can barely get my Yukon fish house out when I want to go ice fishing. I know you all know what I'm saying. Thanks for the opinions on if its alright to store in garage if it wont hurt bow I'm alright leaving it there.

It should be fine outside. Years ago when the limbs were made of wood I would suggest you not.. But inside you will not have to deal with moisture as much.. That would be the one thing that may not be good about outside in the garage. I would hate to get any rust or anything on the wheels or axels. Maybe if you have to store it outside I would try and get some of those silica packets or something.

I may also turn the bow down in weight a bit.. again, not needed per say, but probably a good idea.

Yes, storage can be an issue. I have stuff stored all over and some things not even stored at home.
