P Line Floroice.

Well, I found a spool of P Line this year. Never seen it in the store before. Spooled up a rod & reel this weekend Ice fishing. All I can say is wow. it preformed just as well as all the other lines, but I was impressed that the line just doesn't seem to break. I had some extra line left after spooling up the rod & reel so I had my brother take one end & I took the other end and pulled. It streched quite a bit, and finnally broke. I swear the 6lb line took 20 lbs before it broke. Never seen a line quite like this.

I like it too. I am running 2lb on panfish rods and 4lb on my walleye sticks. I've iced several pannies on the 2lb this year and 3 walleye's on the 4lb. Seems to work well.

I've got it on a pole or two. Not bad stuff. Ice Magic seems comparable to most lines, but always seems to break easier then the other line's I've had. Bionic, Stren, Berkley Micro Ice, P-Line. I'm going to try some HT copolymer once I get out again. So far, after trying everything, I'm really thinking this P-line Floroice is the best. Stuff seems like it will hold way more then rated. Who knows could be in my head.

This is my second year using the stuff and I love it. I caught a 8lb pike on 4 pound line using an ultra light rod with no issues, in fact I'm sure it could handle a much larger fish. The line seems to have little memory too. BT

I am running 2lb on panfish rods and 4lb on my walleye sticks.

I use the 3lb for crappies and 6lb for walleyes.

I too thought that the 3# felt like it would break around 6#. However when I tested it on a fish scale the line would only break just above 3#. It was just in my head.

Picked some(2#) up at the GM store in St Cloud. If I remember, they had all strengths.

I was trying to figure out what line to use this year and decided to try p-line this year after discussion on this forum, and it is the best line I have ever used for ice fishing ever. It is a little stiff from the fluorocarbon but it hasn't given me any trouble at all super strong and clear. I even bought some of the new Lindy line at the show this year and it seems almost as stiff and it seems to hold the coil worse. Someone shared a tip with me with the P-line earlier this year to just buy the fluoroclear in the 300 yard spool it saves money and the diameter is right on or pretty close some or most other ice fishing lines. You can get 300Y for around 8-9$.
