walleye vision
Wow, sounds like he's on hold for quite awhile. You know what he's got for family? I've seen his son in the Fallin Skies 10 video, wife, kids? Talk about some stress on the family. He made his bed, time to lay in it. I met his son out in South Dakota a few falls ago. We were playing pool at the bar and he came over and asked us how our hunt was that day. Before I could finish he tells me he is Jeff Foiles's son, and how great their hunts have been. He was pretty nice, but very proud of himself and his dad.
Muthagoose
Hopefuly Cody retained more personable law abiding genetics from his mom and be a better sportsman.
creepworm
This is just plain sad. It is awful what Foiles and his crew did but by no means should it have it cost a human life.
Muthagoose
How do you figure it cost a human life.. However tragic it was a decision by someone who was only facing a fine, loss of rights and sponsorship.... I feel bad for those who must continue life without him.. perch_destroyer
What a crappy deal. One thing I like about this site, for the most part, we can have a mature conversation on current events. Google seach some of this stuff and read what other forum sites are saying. It's terrible, threads are getting locked up because of content. Real immature stuff pertaining to this whole Foiles mess and Wood's death. Kinda sad to see some of the stuff being typed.

Muthagoose
The "locking up" Was a direct response to the liability due the so stated "Internet bullying" and threat of stopping adds by foiles. Out of respect to the family I can see not dragging things to far BUT your going to get responses to Foiles reply. From what I saw Foiles off the fuge,FA no longer has him on their site< good thing because I like thier gear and I do frequent the fuge. There are posts from one end to the other of the spectrum from "its only a couple ducks" to "what gives who do they think they are". Its understandable and easy to caught up in the heat of it all.Its the seperation of law abiding sportsmen from those who feel entitled or above. Thats where people need to either show support in buying or not buying.Personally I wont own anything with the TOOLS signature on it. perch_destroyer
At the end of last season, I was thinking of buying a new call and was looking at a Foiles. But, after all this, I'm prob gonna end up buying a Zink or D Commander. I see he's got a new video coming out in the spring Foiles and the Migrators. Not buying. Black Bear
I looked at the person whom passed away (Woods) HSOforum/hunting organization he apparently was affliated with. They refered to themselves on their logos, trailer, shirts etc as "Professional Killers". I admit I'm old school but I personally find this brain-dead. Is this what waterfowling has become? PS As I said before, I tried but could never dumb myself down enough to put a Jeff Folies call around my neck. His product mught be good but I find him offensive regrdless of his recent legal issues. duckster
Black bear I think you hit the nail on the head.I too am old school..well at least old. I have noticed the same thing over the past few years. To a large extent waterfowling has become about killing and numbers killed. Not sure why. If your emphasis is killing and putting down numbers, it is bound to get you into trouble sooner or later.Duckster

I can't go a day without seeing someone with a huge antler sticker on his truck that says "buck slayer" or "size matters" or something equally stupid.I don't think it's so much "old" school versus "new" school, but of ethical versus unethical; of hunting for the whole experience of it versus hunting just for something worth bragging about.
