Who makes a good pull behind sled for gear?

I have a 12 year old Otter Magnum sled, tow hitch and cover. It is my main firewood hauling sled in the woods and hauling wood from the wood pile to my woodstove. Hands down, the best sled ever made! Hundreds of miles behind snowmobile/ATV (I have also used it for ice fishing) and I don't have hyfax on this older sled. You would probably be looking at around $200 for sled and hitch.

I fill this sled with several hundred pounds of wood and it works extremely well in the snow. Easy to pull around!

No question, if you really want the best, it's Otter.

Hitch around $50 and sled price will vary a little by size but worth the money. I've used my Otter sled for clearing a site on a lot in the Spring when there was no snow on the ground and it worked fine with very little added wear. We hauled cut up trees and boulders all over the lot with it.

Otter - one for my fish house and the kids have one for pulling behind the snowmobile. After several years of abuse by the kids and as the kids got bigger they broke the sled in two. Have a plastic welder at work and welded the sled back together. That was a couple of years ago and the sled is still going.

Otter all the way! Be carefull, Otter makes 2 different types of sleds. One is better quality. A friend of mine has the biggest one they make and he uses it for hauling fire wood. Sled and tow bar will cost close to $200 for the big sled, but will last you many years!
