I know its been covered countless times before on this thread, but MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT TO WIFI when trying to download this.

Pointless otherwise. For kicks I tried without and it would have taken in excess of 5 hours (estimated time of course). In actuallity it took about 40 minutes or so I think. I think I had to start again 3 times. Frustrating. I received a phone call once that stopped the install and had to start again, but it did pick up where it left off.

So far I am impressed with it. Anyone with an IPhone or Droid (Droids are better LOL) should get this. Some of the features may not be quite there yet, but for the price it is well worth it.

I need help.

I downloaded this app successfully. It seemed to work great for a while. Now when I open the app, it shows the map of North America and no matter what I do the app closes after a few seconds. I sent a report to Navionics but I haven't heard back yet. Any help would be great.

maybe i wasn't getting a good enough gps signal? when i moved to a window it didn't close down on me and i was able to zoom in and out, although it was slow to zoom in on LOW. is this normal? Like i'd zoom one level, have to wait about a minute and then i'd be able to zoom again.

Not normal at all Pooly, I'd recommend doing a battery pull and letting it sit for a minute before turning it back on. That worked for the issue I was having earlier with the yellow screen, and is sometimes required when new apps are installed. I'm going to get in the habit of doing a battery pull after installing all new apps from now on anyway just to lessen my chances of having issues. It's good to do anyway on all electronics to allow them to 'reset' incase something internal is hung up somewhere along the line.

Oh, and the very first time I installed this app I didn't have a wifi connection so I did it OTA, it took slightly over 2 hours for everything to install on full signal 3G connection. All my updates have been done OTA also and they never took over a minute or two to complete.

Just installed it on my evo, based upon another websites recommendation, and it's definately not working. Very frustrated download and install were quick no problems there. I get the Navionics screen asking me to agree and then it just disappears in the blink of an eye. Any suggestions, I've already soft booted and pulled the battery.

Try turning your phone off and then back on again. I know it has worked for me in the past and others on the forums as well. If that doesn't work I would suggest removing the app and re-downloading it (don't get a refund yet because if you decide to try it again and it still doesn't work, the second time you buy the app it is final)

I have it on the droid incredible and it works flawlessly. You MUST have wifi signal and wifi turned on when you first download or your going to have problems. if you do remove it and load it again make sure you have wifi and the phones wifi is turned on. if your phone doesnt have wifi then theres a good chance it wont work on your model.

Slave, I have the app on my Evo and it works fine. Maybe it's because the maps for my area don't have very much info(50 ft contours)or maybe it's having a hard time accessing the lakes on the data card. I had to install mine twice before it worked right. I had to access the files on the card through my computer to delete the failed install.

I wish they had better maps for Colorado, this app would rock on our big screen Evos.

I have a Droid 2 global and downloaded the app a week ago. It works pretty good. It wont show much contours if I have the map overlay on. I assume the satalite overlay has the same problems too. I have used it three times on the ice this week and it worked pretty darn good. i have had the problem with it only yellow screening a couple of times while horsin around with it in my office. Turning it off and pullin the battery fixed it. My only other complaint is the text size of the depths is a little too small for me. Can't really look cool with my plus 1 readers sittin on the lake now can I? But seriously a really neat app and I am sure it will become one of my best tools for fishing.

Yeah I really don't know what to do, I'm very disappointed in the product. I'm gonna try to uninstall and reinstall it one more time, if it doesn't work I'll have to wait and see if Navionics will help me out.

Make sure to check the Navionics FAQ's. You have to do a very thorough job of uninstalling it before reinstalling. Evo's shouldn't have any problem with this app, the processor is very strong. I didn't have any of the overlay issues, i.e. locking up when trying to add satellite or map view.

I'm having some issues w/ v5. Sometimes the lakes do not show up and have to Force Stop the app and toggle the GPS and off and running again. This $13 app has still been a great purchase.
for those that have had problems with contours not showing up, make sure that when you open the app the "i agree" screen shows up. If it doesn't you will have problems. If you have the advanced task killer app, kill the navionics app and then reopen. This works for me every time I have this problem.

Well here we go guys, after two failed installs, "IT WORKED." I don't believe I did anything different on this install then the other two; but for some reason it seems to have taken. The app as a whole looks pretty good. Thanks to all for the advice, now I hope it keeps on working.

    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
