How do you guys get the brains out? I'm just looking for an easier way than digging.

I just dig and dig...Take breaks and do it over a couple days so as not to miss anything... But I have talked with people and saw some utube videos where they used a pressure washer to blow all that stuff out of there, looks slick, but you may need to do some super gluing when your done.

I prefer to let it dry out a bit and then use a long/skinny flat head screwdriver to scrape coupled with a needle nose pliers to grab. Fun stuff.

get a big galvanized tub.

boil the heads with the antlers wrapped up and out of the water

take 'em out of the boling water frequently shaking the noodles out.

eventually all of it comes out

But trust me, it's an outside job.

We use a turkey fryer burner to boil water.

or you can send it to my buddy and he will put it in the beatles and they will do the work for you. I have had him do all mine they turn out great in just a few days perfectly clean and no mess!!!!!!!!!

This year I took a sawsall to the back of it and cut a little trench, from the brain hole down a coouple inches. No one will ever see it and it made cleaning alot easier.

I have had them done with the bettles and they do come out very nice. I have 2 buck racks that died fighting and are locked up and I am having Brian Ahlmberg do them who is a sponsor on HSO. He does some fantastic work.
