Remington Hypersonic Steel

Recommended Posts

Ive gone through two boxes of it bought it becasue of the speed factor and it is crazy fast. Hits ducks way before Kent FS and Xperts get there. One thing I have too say is I wouldnt shot it out of an auto my dad fired once at a jump shooting woodducks and he didnt shoot again because of the kick it left a bruise and I shot it out of his gun it really kicks. I think this is becasue of the dual fireing pwoder which is just being burnt off when the shell is coming out. If you are shooting pump it really has no more kick then Kent FS. I would deff. get it for snows it gets out their in a hurry and lays a smackdown. Havent had to finish of any birds using Hypersonic. Scheels of Kato has a bunch and it is a little cheaper then BC. Good luck with it I think its going to be in my shell box for a long time because you need speed when shooting passing woodies.

False advertising.

It is not close to hyper sonic.

1700 Feet per Second = 1159.090909090909 Miles per Hour

At a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius the speed of sound 761.2 mph

In aerodynamics, hypersonic speeds are those that are highly supersonic. Since the 1970s, the term has generally been assumed to refer to speeds of Mach 5 and above.

I started out with a case of hyper BB's this year... The first couple times shooting snow geese with my SBEII, it kicks like no other! I've shot my share of 3.5's and it actually hurts at the end of the day. Ended up giving the rest away and switched over to the BC snowgoose loads, way less recoil, patterns much better on my gun and really crumples the snows!

Kinda upset with Remington at this point, more so over the model 700 rifle, but went to order a case of remington shells, dude said I wouldn't have them until March. Saying he tried 5 dudes and they were all sold out of the shells I was after.

what remington loads are you looking for?

bought 5 boxes of these at fleet farm early in september (on sale for like 15 bucks). 3 boxes of 2s and 2 boxes of 4 shot. shot the 4 shot over opener, did not have one cripple that needed to be swatted the entire weekend with a big mix of mallards, woodies, and teal. i ran out of those, and i am usin the 2s now. puts down any diver and most mallards within 40 yards no problems (no cripples) if you hit that from the head to the middle. i am very happy with them so far. i probably wont keep buyin it since its 20$ a box, but i cant believe the hit power behind it. and yes, it will make your shoulder bruise (hurts your ears too!). you don't really notice any kick while shooting at birds, which is normal. seems to pattern just fine, and i haven't seen my barrel get too dirt yet

3.5" Nitro Steel, T shot. Dude at the hardware store claims he tried 5 different locations or suppliers and was told nothing until late February likely March ? I had great luck with that shell and these birds were dropping dead as ever, could be I'm just getting better at leading them, but wow did it KO them not that other shells wouldn't have.
