Pheasants eating Mice/Moles

Recommended Posts

This afternoon I cleaned a pheasant with a well digested mole in its crop. I've cleaned a lot of roosters but have never seen this before. The head was still well intact but the body was pretty well furless and digested as well as the crop was pretty full of corn from today. Any one else ever seen this? I know they eat insects but not mice or moles.

I wish I would have taken a picture of it cause it would have made a pretty gruesome shot! I did take a picture of the birds on My phone to brag to my buddy he should have come with today. 1/2 hour walk and put up 4 roosters.
