finnbay
....so I rode in my car on this cold, cold wet day! (Sorry, Dr. Seuss) Rode around in the rain today and got a few shots, but it really was a challenge. Had my 7D and the 100-400 and couldn't get below 1600 ISO all day. Was pushing that at times. That being said, I found a couple of fowl who where having a bad hair day: Is it just me, or does the ruffie look CRABBY? Had a bit of magic light for just a couple of moments: And chased a few snow buntings around (I love these little guys!):

Dbl
Those first couple are great captures! They look almost as miserable as I bet you felt after shooting in the rain!
Jim Almquist
Ken if you see those two today they will have a frosty white stocking hat on
Steve Foss
Ken, that has to be the rattiest, unhappiest gray jay I've ever seen! Nice work on a tough day, pard.
MN Shutterbug
That grouse kinda resembles my wife after I've done something she disapproves of, which happens quite often.
ShawnZ
The first image is very sharp, great looking image at iso1600! The gray jay....that is really something, honestly have never seen one like that, really speaks to the toughness of the bird and tells a story of how it was affected by the elements.Always love snowflakes! mnfishingal
I like the first one the best. What's great about these pics is that people don't often take pics of wildlife in the rain so its fun seeing them a bit disheveled.
