Took a nice Tom tonight!

Came home from work tonight and saw 5 toms feeding in a clover field that is over run with foxtail. The field is pretty rolling so with the wind I felt I had a pretty good chance of taking one out in the open. I got around them and crawled up to a corner post and they started to feed toward me then started heading West. I crawled back down the hill and then did a 300 yard dash to get around the West side then started to crawl through the grass to the top of another hill. Luckily there was a lot of wind and when I got near the top I saw a head pop up 10 yards from me. He saw me at the same time and I quickly slid the gun up and the new 935 rolled him. He was doing quite a bit of flopping and as you know that usually draws the others in closer. I had another tag but had 2 standing in line clucking and didn't want to risk hitting two so I played with them a bit before they flew up into some trees. Not sure what he weighed but had a 7 3/4" beard. Great week so far.
