Strange red catfish. Any ideas?

Hey all:

I got these photos e-mailed to me by a couple who don't know what kind of cat this is. It was caught near Gonzales, Louisiana on the Mississippi River on nightcrawlers. He is approx 18 inches long. Does not have a "V" like tail.

Thoughts?

Looks like a Spanish Pylodictis olivaris, which is common around the Del Boca Vista area in Florida.

Is that marijuana growing in the back ground? Hard to tell with the angle of the images.

I would say Del Boca Vista, Florida back ground for sure.

I have raiseed tomato plants Gordie. They never have looked anything like Columbian jungle canopy.
