uptracker
I couldn't make it this year due to vacation picks at work, but I want the days off for 2011 and nows the time to do it. I'll be hunting in the NE corner of the State above Duluth. Anybody know what the dates are for 2011? I was once told how the season dates are determined, but can't remember...anybody willing to describe it? I believe it was always on the 1st Saturday of November, but never the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd...or something along those lines.

Bear55
I want to say it the Saturday that falls closest to November 6th every year, or something along those lines. For 2011 Nov 5th looks to be that day.

JacobMHD
From the sounds of your work place's time off policy, you might want to put in for 2012 and 2013 as well.

Haha....We can only pick a year in advance. We do our picks in October every year. Last October, I got all the days off for 2010 except the 6th. Now, it's looking like I still can't get the 6th off. We'll see, I may still be able to make it once someone turns the day in. We can have 13 off on Annual Leave everyday per shift. I just happen to be the 14th employee in the book for the given day. Double D
If the first full weekend is the 1st and 2nd of November, it is not that weekend. You never head up on Halloween.DD

echotrail
Firarms deer season begins on the first Saturday closest to November 6th., but not earlier than the 2nd and not later than the 9th.
