That was not smart baseball what we watched in the 7th. Cassilla doubles (gift) and he doesnt bunt Span to move him to 3rd. Remember, Span likes to bunt, in not so great times as we watched a couple of weeks ago. That is a drop dead bunting situation up 2 at that point on the road! It worked out, but UFB!

I don't think Gardenhire bunts enough either, especially in situations like that. I recall a game last week as well, runners at first and second and no outs, and no bunt to move the runners to second and third, and as the inning turned out -- no runs scored (that has happened on numerous occasions). Gardenhire does not do enough to manufacture runs when the situation presents itself. Granted, you can't do it in every situation or all the time, but he does it very little. It has cost us some games this year.

Then again, it seems that bunting is something very few major leaguers are good at any more, with the exception of a few. In that situation, Ozzie would have bunted, so would have Leyland and teams like St. Louis, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay etc., etc. The Twins have some fire power in their line up this year, but they have also been one of the least aggressive teams in baseball when the opportunity presents itself. Can't complain too much because they are in first place, but with the team they have, they should be.

Remember a few weeks back when Gardenhire missed a game for whatever reason, and I think it was Ullger who stepped in........double steal in that game to move the runners to second and third and a couple bunts as well to move runners who eventually scored. I think the final score was 7-2 Twins. If Gardy would get aggressive when the opportunity presents itself, it makes the Twins a much more dangerous team, and not so predictable.

I thought he should have bunted too, but then allowing Floyd to pitch on 125 pitches to a dangerous Kubel with 2 runners on wasn't the brightest move either.

Liriano seemed to have his best stuff after putting himself in a jam. Guerrier didn't falter in a bases loaded situation either.

Definately a bunting situation, no doubt. But that doean't mean you have to do that everytime either (have to keep them honest). A ground ball to the right side accomplishes the same thing, and with the infield playing bunt (due to the situation) a cheap ground ball has a better chance to sneak through. Baseball definitely is a game of decisions and strategies! Gotta love it!

Now Span bunting a couple weeks ago late in the game with runners and 2nd and 3rd and two outs? I couldn't figure that one out....

and i forgot to add a R vs. L matchup.(Floyd) Kubel struggles agst L pitching,, Ozzie should be thinking why he didn'y goto Thornton.. Ozzie blew this one big time because of the fact Kubedogs hit the HR off of RH pitching.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
