Yum Frogs

I have the yum plastic frogs, but I don't use them much because I don't know how to rig or work them. What hook(s) should I be using? Weight or no weight? Is it better to work them fast along the surface, or slowly work it back with a few twitches?

this is what i was using the last time i was out. i put the hook through texas style. i do not use any weights. this keeps it weedless for the most part. i retrieve it slow [ twich twich stop repeat] i guess i like shallows and weed cover the best, and this i believe is the most fun and effective method to use for shallow weed coverd waters. good luck.

I use the berkley batwings instead of the yum, but i hook them texas style also, I will tex-pose them in really heavy slop.( barely stick the hook point under the plastic) Most times i use an unweighted 5/0 gam. hook, but have been having good luck using the 1/16 oz. belly weighted 5/0 gam. also.

I use them over/around any type of cover.( rocks, weeds, trees, or any type of cover i can get a frog into)

My retrieve varies from a steady pull like a buzz bait, to a hop/twitch pause.
