Russ&Judy
just a reminder to all of you that have had to renew your boat trailer license; the new one is a stick on tag that goes on the trailer tongue; and make sure you remove any old license plates on trailer and carry the registion card in cab along with ins card

Mykal
Captn, yes, that was my reaction as well. I had to ask twice but that's what they told me to do at the license service center in Maple Grove. Guest
Registration Card? Since when do you have to have a registration card for your trailer along with you? I don't even think I have a registration card for my trailer...and I sure as heck wouldn't have it in my vehicle.{That would be about as smart as keeping your title in your vehicle's cubby hole!}
Capt'nJosh
Thanks guys, I'll take the plates off tonight!Capt'n

huskminn
Your trailer registration and trailer title are two entirely different things and, yes, everyone is right...take the old plates off, as instructed.Seems kind of wacky to me, but it is what the state wants you to do. Guest
I think I'll just keep living in Fargo and let you crazy Minnesotans deal with your regulations while I drive my boat around without a trailer license (not required in ND...)
Russ&Judy
Catcher-- we dont claim to know everything, we were just hoping to bring this to someones attention, and according to the replys ,it has helped;just my guess, but it says registration/cab card with your new paid for trailor license, it proves; you own it, make, model, v ID #, its kind of like if they pull you over and ask for ins card for your truck, registration ,etc.; it has nothing to do with titles; you may want to get better advise then us and advise the rest of us, tks for the question--we carry all our cab cards and insurance cards
huskminn
Consultant,I think you've got the right angle on this whole thing....next thing you know we'll have to register each rod/reel combo and will only be able to use lures from an approved list. Giant_Jackpot
I think they went to the sticker so people don't use one plate for multiple trailers.
