Graphic and arresting. Count me out of the camp that thinks this kind of image is funny, but it certainly is captivating. It appears that the mouse has something in it's mouth in the second image, possibly a baby mouse. If the mouse were transporting young, this might explain it's ignoring it's natural impulse to flee.

I was actually reading recently that there is a parasitic species of bacteria (I may be wrong on it being bacterial, but it was a microorganism of some type) that completes it's life cycle in cats. When mice contract it, they lose their fear of cats and refuse to flee. It has been recently linked to schizophrenia in humans.

That is very interesting Mike. Do you remember if that was only in a controlled situation or do mice contract that in the wild as well?

The mouse was showing its teeth in #2, nothing in the mouth. At times it was actually jumping at the cat and that's what got me to grab the camera. So there could be something to what Mr. Cary is saying. I was in aw in the mouse and its actions and thought I would share, no intenet on coming off as graphic.

Funny stuff, I will expand on Shane's question. Hwood is short for Hollywood in my case. Easy to guess but I believe he was asking if you know someone I know.

They contract it in the wild. I found a little more info. It's actually a protozoan called Toxoplasma gondii.
