Sweet Corn Alerts

This was a good thread last year, so I thought I'd repost it. Where are you finding the good sweet corn? Even if it's good grocery store corn.

Last year I was turned on to Bauer Berry Farms in Champlin and it is the best corn I've ever had. They won't be ready til the end of July.

Haven't been able to stop at a stand yet but the stuff I've seen at Cub over the past week is downright pathetic. Granted it's only 20 cents and ear but not even worth that

Dick's IGA in River Falls. Not sure where they are getting it but its real good. They have had it for the last two weeks or so. Its like they just picked it.

I picked up a half dozen ears from Von Hansens in Coon Rapids tonight. I'm gonna throw them on the grill in a bit. The guy at the store said they were from Georgia.

The best corn we have found is at Norm's MArket just north of Hwy 10 on Hwy 25

I purchase all of my corn to eat and freeze from farmers who grow sweet corn or locals who sell out of the back of their pick up.

Always very fresh.

I love the Peaches & cream or white and yellow corn.

Farmers markets are open in Saint Paul. Tues and Thurs, 10 - 2. Got some great corn yesterday.

I stopped by Bauer Berry in Champlin today to pick up a dozen. They just opened today. Can't wait for dinner!

We had sweet corn the past 2 nights. Cant get enough of it.

From a farmer couple miles up the road. Been selling it for over 30 years. The best! Whats cool is he and his wife have an honer box $5, for thirteen. They also have a sign up sheet to order beef. Today was the second trip in two days fortunately Marylou was out and about and I was able to get some hamburger with the corn. Man that was good hamburger cant wate till the steaks and roast show up this weekend.
