I'm Not Saying a Word.....Yet!

Recommended Posts

It looks like it will be a race this year. I still don't think the Sox or the Tigers have the horses, but since we are playing like the Horses you know what.... anything can happen. I sure have a hard time watching when everyone seems to be OK with it and no one even looks frustrated... I know, its baseball and guys have slumps and it is a marathon grind, BUT it wouldn't bug me any if anyone actually threw a bat, slammed a helmet, crushed a gatorade container, etc.... If they all play their best ball, the Twins are still the best club, but I worry more about the Sox now then I do the Tigers...

What good would it do to lose and then be immature about it?

These guys realize that they are making millions of dollars to play a kids game once a day, what is there to be upset about?

If you make a mistake at your job do you throw things?

It should be a horse race, my guess is a two horse race, until Cliff Lee decides where he will land. My guess is if it is in the land of 10,000 lakes then my Pale Hose could be in trouble, if not then GAME ON!

I better put another call into Kenny Williams and see if the Sox want to pony up for ole Cliffy! Here is something that nobody is privy to yet but I will let you all in on an inside secret. Calls have been made and offers extended to bring Cliff Lee to the Pale Hose in a three way deal with the Cardinals and Mark Buehrle. Imagine, if you will (pardon my Star Trek there) a trade that sends Mark Buehrle to his home town of St. Louis to end his illustrious career and sends Cliff Lee here in a long term deal. Only piece to be decided is who the Cards will send to Mariners.......

Sleep well boyz!

Cliff Lee can't fix whats going on with the Twins, unless he runs onto the field and distracts the other team thats turning a double play on us. We don't need Cliff Lee right now, we need a miracle and 8 guys that can figure out how to get hits with runners in scoring position. I won't complain if we land Lee, but thats not our main issue.

Since we seem to disagree on everything Twins, take this for what it is worth. I am starting to wonder if my Wife is posting as BigDave2 grin

My issue is the lack of emotion. Like I said, I know it is baseball and it is a long grind, but the mood seems the same no matter the score. I think that works in certain situations, but I really think we need some fire. I'm almost to the point where I want them to trade an A level prospect to the Tribe for Redmond. The type of fire he has is what the team lacks in my opinion.

A lot of this just comes down to pitching better and hitting with RISP and this will take care of itself.... I hope. I don't want to have to listen to Ozzie all year!

To tackle them one at a time...

#1. Showing emotion isn't always immature.... as much as people call it unprofessional, it is sure nice to see they care.

#2. Just because they get paid big bucks and get to play ball, doesn't mean they mail it in and collect the check. You can be unhappy with the $$$ they make all you want, but the bottom line is these guys are good because they have always pushed to outpeform the competition and if the Twins asked you to play ball for a living you would...

#3. No, I don't throw things.... I don't think the bosses or the kids would like that... but if I screw up, I sure do care and it sure does bother me.

The players more than likely care too. And making a mistake probably bothers them as well but there is no need to throw a tantrum. I don't even let my 10 yr old do that.

Dave.....They play a mans game, kids play tee ball.

I don't care what you do for a living, if someone is paying you to do it, do it right. If you can't do it right, they should be able to fire/release the player.

What does any of this have to do with throwing a tantrum?

I think Carlos Zambrano just illustrated many of your points on Friday. What a mental case, he may have thrown his last pitch as a Cub, not sure of too many teams who would want him either with his bloated contract. Ten million dollar arm and a ten cent brain!

LOL......Ha ha, My 10 yr old son doesn't play with a tee. Does that make him a man?

Any sport is still a kids game no matter how you look at it.

Zamboni, You are correct sir. He went mental ON HIS CATCHER! What a total head case. His antics, as a Southside lover and Northside hater, continue to amuse but never amaze me, he just keeps getting better, or worse, however you want to look at it!
