I was shown this real old graveyard went I went to Frontenac State Park a few weeks ago. On the way back from La Crosse the other day, I brought my wife to see it. These are some really old tombstones.

Nice picks. But the ones where the tomb is on top covered with the concrete or whatever it is gives me the willys. A jog I had a while back moved some of those under ground cause they had broken up sp bad they were colapseing. Freaky stuff!!!

There is more to life than just pretty birds, unfortunately. It was a dreary day so I was in the mood for pictures like this.

Green Herons are awesome, are they primarily a low light species? I never see them until evening it seems. And is there another species of heron around here? Besides the Great Blue of course.

Actually, we did have our scary moment in the cemetery. My wife thought it would be cool to take this other road thru a newer part. By the time I got halfway down the small hill, I realized it was pure mud. I thought we could drive around and come back out a different way, but a fallen tree was blocking the road. I tried to reverse back up the hill, but that didn't work. I managed to get the SUV turned around and got a bit of a run and did some praying. The mud flew and we just barely made it to the top. I was afraid these were going to be some very expensive photos.

BTW, the rest of these would probably look better in black & white too, considering the subject matter. I opted to change just one of them to see what kind of comments they got.

That's the nice thing about comments - you find out what others think and how they view your photos.
