What would you use?

I purchased a 3/4 ton ford f250 about a month ago. With even a small load, the back end is sagging bad.

I have heard some people use blocks or air bags to help with this problem. Any info or recomendations would help, also not looking to spend a lot of money, since it is a back up truck to my one ton that doesn't have this issue.

Thanks

First, make sure there are no broken leafs in the springs. If they are not broken, adding a leaf will help with supporting the load, but give a stiffer ride also. Blocks will do nothing but raise the height of the truck.

I've installed air bag systems with good results. You can adjust them to level the truck based on the size of the load, and decrease pressure to preserve ride quality when not carrying a load.

It sounds like something is broken or worn out. If it always had a massive payload or trailer behind it there is a good chance you got bad springs.

I would also just check into getting new springs. Sometimes its cheaper to just get new springs (Husky Spring comes to mind) than it is to mess around with add ons.

That being said I have done airbags before and they work good and are pretty easy to install. If none of the above work out then give them a shot.

X3

I wouldnt waste any money on bags or helper springs until you figure out what the real issue is.

price out a new set of springs and you may find its only a few bucks more that bags or a set of load leveling shocks.
