Oh geez Darren. That is about the funniest thing I've read. I was WAY behind on this thread, had a lot of catching up to do, and it was worth it. Nice find, and good job to all of those who kept saying "there's a hidden GFCI somewhere".

Ok, so was able to take a look at it today, since I felt a little pressured from you guys

I put the pegboard on myself so I planned on taking off the pegboard and cutting a hole in the drywall to see where the wire is going.

I would've bet $1000 that I didn't cover up an outlet with the pegboard.

.....and I would've lost $1000

Just glad I did't pay someone to figure that one out. Simple press of the reset button. OUCH

I Knew it was going to be a GFCI tripped. I think I even geussed in one of my post that you were going to find a GFCI outlet behind the pegboard. Better to be lucky then good.

You actually have a nice set-up in your garage, with that sub-panel. If the single breaker says 15 on the switch, I'd think about adding a 20 amp breaker, on a #12 wire (assuming there is room in the sub-panel), to another outlet, just for heavier tools. A lot of air compressors won't work on a 15 amp circuit, as well as bigger power tools (table saws etc.). Perfect set-up!!!

Yeah it was cool gaining an extra outlet in the deal and yes jerkbait, you nailed it.

Now that I have everything working I plan on running another exterior outlet on the outside wall off that previously dead one.
