Has anyone ever bass fished clam lake near Siren Wisc? Im heading to a cabin on the lake this weekend and was wondering if anyone had every fished it for bass before. If so what is a good area to start?

Never fished it but I have drove past and my Fishing Hotspots book is absolutely correct when it says weedy. I can't point you to a spot but plan on bringing gear to fish the thick stuff.

I would guess the lake is great, lots of good looking stuff and quite a bit of water to explore - I've only fished over there in early May with cold water and cold temps, always wanted to go back later in the year.

Yeah my wives uncle is the one that has the cabin on there and he said there are both smallies and largemouth in there but he fishes mostly panfish and walleye in there. Ill have to report how it goes after i get back.

My GF family has a cabin on upper clam. If we are talking about the same lake then you are in for a hard time fishing. This lake is only 11 ft deep and its a very small area at that depth. Most of the lake is 3-5 deep. They do have some weeds which is what I would focus on. Be careful boating because it comes up really quick in some spots. The bottem is all sand. I have not gone into the river at all but have heard good things. Here is a link to the maps that I could find. If its not the same clam lake then don't listen to me :P

Just use the link to look up the lake name.

Good Luck
