Propbaits

Just wondering if any of you use propbait topwaters at all. I don't think I own one and am pretty sure I've never fished with one.

Yes, all the time. The same ones I used in 1951. And they still work. But only on older bass. Injured Minnows that I buy on HSO-Classifieds for $25.

I like the Skitter Props from Rapala...I fish them pretty fast and aggressive. I especially like them on submerged weed flats where I know a good # of fish are present. Makes for some good entertainment at times.

i like them for smallies.. dont use them much for largies.. Mostly use the yozuri arms swisher I think its called.

i like them for both largies and smallies. I like the devilshorse the best...

I also use the devilshorse. Had good luck on it last year with largemouth!!

Zepman, I agree totally......Skitter prop, and, fished aggressively....Smallies blast em.....I like to get an irregular cadence ,then stop....Quick hard jerk-baits seem to work best.

Heddon Baby Torpedo- rip it, lots of bubbles, pause, and BAM.

I use them for smallmouth. Boy Howdy (Cotton Cordell I think) is my favorite.
