And here I thought I was the only one using swim jigs for all-purpose bass fishing. LOL. But it is my confidence bait. I've been using the 3/8 oz. Strike King KVD swim jig in either Bluegill or Black and Blue. The bullet head helps it come through the weeds easily. And I like the thicker skirt compared to most other swim jigs' thinner skirts. I trim the skirt until it's about 1/2 inch from the hook and usually trail it with a double tail grub or plastic craw chunk. I fish it on 30 pound Sufix braid and man, I love fishing these around weeds.

Have to go with a 5 inch pink senko style bait. Very versitle and simply put it catches fish when others wont, atleast for me. A very close second would be a jig-n-pig. Just a quick question does anyone know what company makes an electric blue colored jig? My last one fell apart last year and i haven't been able to find one sense... that thing was a bass killer late spring/early summer.

A little off topic here, but does anyone have any tips for fishing Senkos with weight in deeper water, and/or windy conditions.

I have only fished them weightless and have been limited to the shallows and fairly calm days. Thanks

yep, just fish it wacky on a jig head.. you dont need flicky shake head, but they do impart a very nice action.

Shallow cranks... Wiggle Worts or swim baits. Jig n craw close second. I've never giving the swim jig enough time in the past. Looks like I have to add that to my (to do) list.
