$18.00 are you kidding me?! Why did the ice have to go off so soon this year, of all years?! With all of my down time between now and the opener I would say it's basically a lock that I buy one.

Has anyone had a chance to pull it through water yet? If so, how does it compare to an original rap or xrap... I would assume, based on the design, that it would have a wider wobble than an original. Any shimmy on the pause? Just curious! (tell me bad things so I don't go buy one lol)

I agree. I think crankbaits are the only thing where more competetion has caused the prices to go up. All those lucky crafts, Sebiles, Salmos etc sold like hot cakes. Why wouldn't rapala raise prices? Price = quality, right?

But on the other hand the quality and consistency is a lot better (and the prices havent gone up nearly as much as necessity commodities like milk and gas).

It is just about the most expensive crankbait out there, but I do have to give Rapala credit for making a lure that has one of the best looking finishes out there.

You know what they say though, many lures are made to catch fishermen.

My favorite crankbait is still just your plain jane #9 shad rap.

It sucks when it comes to prices on Raps going up, but I would pay twice as much for the lures that I have picked up.

They (Rapala) know how to make them and if I had used any other lure on some of my trips of a lifetime to Kab, ML, etc. I really don't think I would have had the outings I did with out those lures. (I am not knocking other lure company I have too many as it is! so the wife says!!) But I always seem to go back to tying on a Rapala!
