bucketmouth64
What are your thoughts about Quinn being shopped around. Would he fit Chilly's system? What about Delhomme or Vick? I hope vikes don't pursue Derek Anderson. I think there might be others depending what happens in the draft. These are just alternative names that are younger if Favre decides to retire and vikes don't still like what they see in Sage/T-Jack. Randyjr.
One never knows what a quaterback can do on a better team. A lot of critics will point to his pure numbers and use that as justification for bashing him. The Browns are a deplorable team with a porous offnesive line and mediocre recievers and after Winslow left, no tight end threat. Plus he has had several different offensive coordinators (3 or four?) and two head coaches. I'm not sure how much to blame on Quinn the quarterback or the Browns or both. If he sat under Favre for a year and immersed himself in a culture of winning with the Vikes, he'd may have a pretty decent shot. I'd give a late 5th and 6th round pick, but TJack stays. I don't think we are going to get our franchise quarterback in this year's draft.
Scott K
I believe Favre will be back. He has been saying he is just enjoying the "offseason" which indicates to me, he would be coming back. I would rather have T-Jack then Quinn, or any of the other junk QB's out there. Not that I think Jackson is any good, or will be any good, just that he knows the system. I actually like him as a back up QB for the Vikes. We still need to find a future QB, but I also dont think he will come out of this years draft. Although I think if we can get Dan LeFevour with our second pick, I think he may be worth the gamble. He is a few years out, but I think he has a better shot being a star QB then what our other options are right now.
zepman
LeFevour in the 2nd is a bad draft pick IMO. In the 4th or later he would be good to take a flyer on. This team has too many needs on the O-line/D-line and DB position to be taking a gamble on a so/so qb in the 2nd. Lot's of very talented linemen in this draft a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick at these positions (OL/DL) in the draft often times leads to a long time starter.I just don't think we need to "reach" for a q-back in this years draft...not much out there. Scott K
I do agree, normally I wouldnt be suggesting something like this, but I just dont know we can keep pushing off our QB needs. After further thought, I do think second round is a little early for LeFevour, but I dont think he will be there in the 3rd, if he is, I would take him for sure.I think there will be plenty of decent CB and linemen available later in FA to fill our immediate needs. Maybe something during the draft might prompt a call depending what kind of talent is left at later rounds to get Quinn. He had some good tutledge from Charlie Weis so maybe a change of scenery and a year under favre would be good. Not sure how well he knows west coast, but at least he knows the pro style offense makeup from college. Who knows what kind of offenses were ran at Cleveland to screw him up. JBMasterAngler
Personally I'd like to see the vikes use the draft to build the future needs at QB and O-line, and get the defensive help we need in free agency. If that happens, and Favre comes back, the vikes will be looking really good next year
zepman
I would rather the Vikes trade for Quinn than take a shot at drafting someone in the the later rounds. Sounds like he may come cheap this year. A year behind Favre, and surrounded by our offensive talent, he may be one to keep our eyes on.I don't think his stay in Cleveland should be any indication of what he's capable of. Cleveland plain and simply sucks a**. He may be junk...but at least he wouldn't be TJunk.
Randyjr.
TJunk. I got a good chuckle on that one.

Exactly, Junkson has been junk on a really good team, Quinn has been junk on a horrible team, if they switched places Quinn would be the better QB. zepman
I see the Browns just signed DelHomme to a two year contract. Quinn would be very easy to pick up right now. It will be intersting to see what the Browns will want for him and what they actually get. I think he'd be worth a shot at the right price. FISHINGURU
The browns are totally doomed for a long time they've lost everything, Delhomme has been washed up forever.Shaun Rogers is on the trade block also he'd be awesome on our team. zepman
The Browns have been doomed for awhile now...probably over a decade or so...they may now be finally digging their way out.
klecker
Big old Mike H is gonna turn this team around. Glad they have a chance nowwith soemone who has a clue. Give them two years and by the third watch out.
zepman
Quinn traded to Denver...wow, that didn't take long.
bucketmouth64
This went down quick. Wonder what the viking brass were/are thinking if they were even interested. They should look at the Brown's and see if there is a viable player that we could use and do a trade. I think Holmgren is going to accrue a lot of draft picks over the next 1-2 years. Scott K
He is under contract with the Vikes for 1 more year, so unless the Vikes trade him, or we release him, I would say 0%
mrklean
i laughed when i saw Brady Quinn went to denver today, look at what Cleveland gave up to get him and they traded him for a 6th round pick and a full back
bucketmouth64
The Vikes weren't mentioned as a possible trade for McNabb. Have the Vikes lost interest? You know Chilly/Reid have to be talking behind the scenes given their friendship.
JBMasterAngler
I heard that the eagles would take a 2nd round pick for him. That would make sense for us since all the mock drafts have us taking a QB in the 2nd round.
Scott K
The Vikings like to do things hush, hush, so even if they were in the works with it, the media wouldnt know about it any way. I dont think we should go after him at all, Kolb sure!
Jim Uran
I don't think he's want to come here with Favre taking the snaps.
JBMasterAngler
We grab McNabb to send Favre a message that we don't want to participate in his flying circus anymore! Then my proficy comes true...Brett Favre playing for the cleveland browns!
FISHINGURU
Why would you want Mcbunk at the end of his career? I'd take him if it was a choice between him and Junkson.
