Lowrance iFinder H20c GPS problem

TRZ II

Question

My GPS won't turn on unless i take the batteries in and out and try like 30 times. If i don't take the batteries out and Press the power button nothing happens, if i do it will light up and then go off-only turning on once in a few dozen tries. does anyone know how to fix this or who repairs GPS units?? thanks!

Try spining "turning" not flipping end to end the batteries around when they are in the holder a few times and hitting the power button at the same time. Also check the little metal battery connectors to see if any are broken or the wires are loose to one of them. Some times the little metal clips get flat and don't hit the battery right. That happened to mine and it would do the same thing until I figured out what was happening. wink

This problem has been going on all winter. i have used new energizer and duracell batteries, not cheap generic ones. Do you think this could be fixed by higher end batteries? Does anyone know whee to bring this to get it fixed?

Did you try spinning the batteris and seeing if the metal connecters went flat or came loose from the wires?
